We all know that life throws curveballs at women, not least the menopause. Naturally, it’s a time for understanding and compassion from your employer, which is why only an insignificant one million women have been shafted from the workforce because of it. Phew!
So thank goodness for firms like Avanti West Coast, the UK train operator, which has been handing out goody bags - like this one, doing the rounds on social media and apparently shared by one of the rail union members - at menopause support groups to help its staff navigate this tricky time.
How thoughtful and generous of them, I bet it’s full of genuinely helpful and practical things… oh.
I mean, if you didn’t have a hot flush before I bet you do now.
